The Avatiu women’s side defeated Arorangi Bears 12-5 in an exciting Cook Islands Rugby Union 7s final at The Swamp last night. Avatiu led 7-0 at the break. Avatiu’s tries were scored by Mahana Sijp and Nichole Tiaore with Sijp kicking a conversion. Rima Browne scored the Bears’ lone try in the second spell.
