Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Reports

Government Departments, Agencies and the General Public are hereby advised that the National Environment Service has received the following application for a Project Permits as required under Section 36 of the Environment Act 2003.

In accordance with subsection 5 a) and c) of Section 36 of the Environment Act 2003, any person, Government Agencies or Organisation who wish to make a written submission for or against the granting of a Project Permit by the Environment Service for this application, may do so within 30 days commencing on 3rd June 2021. Written submissions may be in Cook Islands Maori or English and be submitted to the National Environment Service no later than the 4rd July 2021.

Project Engineer – Asset Management

The Cook Islands Investment Corporation (CIIC) require an experienced and suitably qualified person to fill the Project Engineer – Asset Management position. To support the functions of the Property Division and the delivery of its outputs, in particular:

Contribute effective technical support to the overall management of government properties and assets;

Provide operational, technical and functional assistance to the Project Manager;

Work in collaboration with stakeholders and property staff in the delivery of operational, technical and functional assistance;

Assist in strengthening internal processes and systems i.e Asset Management Program;

Support development of related responsibilities to enable CIIC to meet its vision;

The ideal candidate will have:

Project management experience;

Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and standards;

Ability to use various software applications e.g Microsoft Word, Excel, Projects and AutoCAD;

Broad understanding of Asset Management system or similar applications;

Ability to work independently;

Excellent time management;

Excellent oral and verbal communication skills;
