Runners are asked to be at the start line, which will be on the main road, just after 5pm, with the run to begin at 5.15pm.
Distances available this week will be set at 3km, 5km, 6km and a 10km for those who are wanting more endurance minutes under their belts.
The course will be on the main road starting at the social centre, then heading towards Arorangi before spending some time on the back roads of Nikao. There will also be the opportunity to head up the hospital hill for those who wish to challenge themselves further.
Event organiser Thomas Henderson said the run is open to anyone wishing to take part, not just specifically those who are in training mode towards next month’s Round Rarotonga Road Race.
“Anyone can come,” Henderson said. “Those training, those who are wanting to get back into running, or even those who are here on holiday and might just want to stretch out the legs.”
