Outlaws beat Notchya to win Beach Touch gold

Outlaws claimed the 2023 Beach Games touch competition at the National Beach Courts in Nikao yesterday.

The side defeated Notchya 10-7 in the final to win gold medal.

North Harbour managed bronze medal after overcoming Team IDK 8-7 in a close tussle.

In the semi-finals, Notchya defeated North Harbour 9-6 while Outlaws overcame Team IDK 13-8.

AirBadminton competition was held earlier in the week. Nine teams competed in the Mixed Team tournament.

Young Gunz claimed gold medal, Team Peneneke settled for silver and Lord of the String managed bronze medal.

Beach volleyball will be held on Friday and Saturday. On Monday and Tuesday, January 16 and 17, the beach handball competition will be held followed by 3x3 basketball from January 17 to 19. Beach football will kick start on January 19 and run until January 21.
