Reds set to test the Bulls’ defence

Will Titikaveka Bulls be able to defend themselves from the Takuvaine Reds today, or will the visitors upset the Bulls on their own soil?

This will be an exciting match as both teams are looking to establish themselves in the 2016 season. After three rounds of play, the Reds have won two and lost one of their matches.

After dropping their first-round match to the Eels by 7-27, the reigning champions are now back on track to successfully defend their trophy after successful consecutive victories against the Panthers 50-22 and last week against the Cowboys by 7-26. The Bulls have also won two and lost one match. They lost 5-34 to the Cowboys, who the Reds defeated last week by 26-7.

Watch out for Bulls’young gun Teariki Matenga Jnr and utility back Logo Leuta. For the Reds keep an eye on the dynamic loose forward Filipo Levi and prop Travel Tou Jnr, who is also the captain of their team.

The match kicks at the Titikaveka Field at 4pm today.
