Getting less rusty at basketball

Last week’s basketball top scorers are sure to up their game tonight when they return to the TSA courts for the main basketball premier jam.Lofty Pacific Divers star Brendon Heath was last week’s top scorer notching up 21 points in his team’s 47-27 win against team The Definition of Rusty.The RTM Mighty Lions were the top scoring team on the night scoring 53 to opponents CCECC Dragons 25 with RTM stars Johnal and Richie chipping in with 14 points each.Team Rarotonga Freight Survivors did just that against the Hot Dogz edging out the Dogz by one point 30-29 while Polynesian Hire took the upper hand against A-Town Sparkx to win 29-25 although it was A-Town Sparkx Nukz Pokura the standout player with 14 points.Team Lil Bit Rusty did their best but the Pacific Resort crew capitalised on the rusty side to win 38-16 with Katrina Matheson sinking 12 points for her Pacific Resort team.Avalicious Kafoteria were just too slick for team Audit with Avalicous’s Peter Teiti chipping in 12 points for his team’s eventual winning score of 32 over Audit’s 26.Tonight’s games are set to bounce into action at 5.20pm so get along to the TSA for your basketball fix. - Matariki Wilson Tonight’s draw – 5.20pm A-Town Sparkx vs Pacific Resort, 6.05pm Polynesian Hire vs Lil Bit Rusty, 6.50pm The Definition of Rusty vs Hot Dogz, 7.35pm Pacific Divers vs Avalicious Kafoteria, 8.20pm Audit vs CCECC Dragons, 9.05pm Rarotonga Freight Survivors vs RTM Mighty LionsFootball action in Nikao todayMore football action will take place today as Nikao Sokattak will host Takuvaine at the Nikao field with the first game to kick off at 4.15pm in the Under 14 boy’s division. The senior womens Nikao Sokattak have kicked off the season on a high wining their matches in the past two rounds and will look to continue the momentum. Takuvaine will try their best to make things difficult for Sokattak and will no doubt take their chances at any goal scoring opportunities. Friday will see the Under 14 Girls play, followed by the Premier Men’s division. Supporters for Nikao Sokattak and Takuvaine will be in force to cheer their clubs.
