After weeks of postponements due to wet weather, the Cook Islands Touch Association is set for the finals in the open men’s and women’s grades, on Monday at Nikao Field.

Semi-finals were played earlier this week.

The opening women’s competition semi-final between FBI and 2 Sharp was an evenly matched affair.

The score stayed at two-all during the second half but with minutes to go, FBI capitalised on a quick turnover ball.

The second women’s semi-final between Nukz Power and Bounty Hunters was another exciting encounter, with Nukz Power holding off an aggressive attack from Bounty Hunters, winning 2-1.

Last year’s champions Bounty Hunters bowed out of this year’s grand finals and played off for 3rd and 4th place.

In the men’s competition Germinators and Quickeze progressed to the grand finals by default.

The men’s and women’s competition grand finals will be held on Easter Monday. Nukz Power take on FBI for the women’s final while Bounty Hunters will battle Sharp for 3rd and 4th in the women’s competition. The men’s final will be between Germinators and Quickeze.
