Mixed touch teams will return to the field next Wednesday with an extra few days to scrub up on skills and recruit before the season starts proper and all points count.
Meanwhile Monday’s torrential downpour in the afternoon did little to deter touch rugby fanatics from turning out at Nikao field for their scheduled matches.
The games were again competitive in the open men’s and women’s division which now gets serious next week, as the past two weeks of games have been pre-season hit-outs to give teams time to get organised.
However, players have hit the field fast and furious at the early stages of the season which is sure to make for an outstanding season ahead. - MW
