Today’s first touch rugby matches for the 2015 season will be a pre-season muster for men and women at the Nikao field starting at 5pm.

It’s an opportunity for teams to have a team run, bond and get into the swing of the always action-packed season.

This week’s pre-season muster will also give those teams still in holiday mode to dust off the cobwebs, find their touch boots and get onto the field.

Registration for the season for the open men, open women, social and open mixed divisions are still open for family groups, friends getting into fitness or workmates looking to have fun out of the office.

If you’d like to play touch rugby this season but don’t have a team yet, everyone is welcome to join the muster and find a group of like-minded people ready to stay in top shape playing touch rugby this year.

The early touch rugby season is also a great opportunity for athletes in various other sports codes to work off the holiday indulgence and gear up for what will be another busy year of sports on the rock.

On Wednesday the pre-season mixed division muster will be held at the Nikao field and again registrations for this dynamic division are still open.

To register contact Daphne Brown on 54171.

Today’s first game starts at 5pm between the stalwart Bounty Hunters and the Lifters, followed at 5.40pm by the men’s match between the Germinators and Manatoa.

A second women’s game is scheduled for 6.20pm between the Bounty Hunters and FBI squad.

Get your boots and get your touch on at the Nikao field today.
