The team started their 2019 season with a shock defeat to the Titikaveka premier men in their opening game. The side didn’t lose a game since then.
The giants went on to win 11 games and draw three to retain the championship and thus qualifying for the Oceania champions league with the first stage to be played in Auckland at the end of January 2020.
The Tupapa Maraerenga senior women’s team was also triumphant this year winning the Islander Hotel senior women’s Round Cup Championship for their second year in a row. Tupapa led the competition from start to finish.
The first elimination round for the CIFA Knockout competition will begin tomorrow with the under-7, U9, U11 and U17 men’s teams.
