Five days of competition will see all five grades play a round-robin tournament, followed by semis and a final play-off.
We have nine teams flying in from NZ, some of whom have been fundraising since last year. Seven NZ umpires and two bench aides are also on the way.
Divisions this year are our Under-15Girls, U17 Girls Social Ladies, Open Ladies and Mixed Teams.
"Great work done by the hard-working Rising Stars Committee and their successful inaugural tournament over July-September this year will see top performances from our up and coming stars.
“It has been a big year for them so they'll be looking forward to a break from netball after this.” The event will kick off with a managers meeting on Wednesday evening at 5pm, held at the RSA upstairs clubroom. A Turou and short opening ceremony will take place at the BSA on Thursday afternoon before the first whistle blows to start off the competition.
All games for local teams have been scheduled for after 4pm to accommodate our workers, although the major knockout finals will be held from 11am to 3pm on the final day, Tuesday.
There is still room for a mixed team, but registrations have closed for all other grades.
Netball Cook Islands and the NIP2016 Committee would like to thank our silver sponsors, Cook Islands Tourism and Blue Sky for their generous support.
Associate Sponsors: Island Car and Bike Hire, Edgewater Resort, Vonnias and Air Rarotonga are thanked for their continued backing and assistance for yet another year.
