Avarua hits the double at Raemaru Park

AVARUA made a double scoop after winning the netball title in the Rarotonga Primary Schools tournament at Raemaru Park in Arorangi on Wednesday.

 

The school also won the Rippa Rugby competition in the Bluesky Telecom Cook Islands-sponsored tournament.

In netball, Avarua claimed the A and B grades titles, while Nikao took home the C-grade title in the annual meet.

The school won four of the five grades in rippa rugby to maintain its dominance in the primary schools competition.

Tournament coordinator James Keen was impressed with the level of competition and hailed the event a success.

Results 

A-grade: Avarua, Arorangi, Titikaveka

B-grade: Avarua, Nukutere Red, Nikao

C-grade: Nikao, Avarua, St. Joseph
