Celebrations are still going on in the national women’s cricket camp which made history last week by registering the Cooks first ever international women’s cricket win.

The Aero Cook Islands women’s national cricket team made history in Japan at the weekend when they became the first ever Cook Islands national women’s cricket team to record an international victory – beating Vanuatu by seven wickets in only 12 overs.

Day two of the 2014 Pepsi ICC East Asia-Pacific (EAP) Women’s Trophy in Sano Japan saw the host nation prove too strong for the Cook Islands.

The sun was shining in Sano as the 2014 Pepsi ICC East Asia-Pacific (EAP) Women’s Trophy kicked off yesterday morning at Tanuma High School and the Sano Cricket Ground.

The Cook Islands, PNG, Samoa, and Vanuatu have joined host nation Japan in Sano ahead of the 2014 Pepsi ICC East Asia-Pacific Women’s Trophy that begins today.
