Cricket umpires in the Cooks are about to receive massive support from the Cook Islands Cricket office when it launches its new Rarotonga Cricket Umpires Commission (RUC) on Friday.

Celebrations are still going on in the national women’s cricket camp which made history last week by registering the Cooks first ever international women’s cricket win.

The Aero Cook Islands women’s national cricket team made history in Japan at the weekend when they became the first ever Cook Islands national women’s cricket team to record an international victory – beating Vanuatu by seven wickets in only 12 overs.

Day two of the 2014 Pepsi ICC East Asia-Pacific (EAP) Women’s Trophy in Sano Japan saw the host nation prove too strong for the Cook Islands.
