We must demand research on water chlorine

Dear Editor,

Government should stop misleading us about chlorine in our water supply.

We don’t need it, we don’t want it, and we certainly don’t deserve it, knowing that chlorine will get into our water table causing irreversible harm, killing off our vegetation and agricultural products as well our coral and fish.  Bigger populated countries used it because at the time, it was the most cost-effective measure; but modern advancement today, means better choices. And as a tiny island of some 15,000 people, chlorine will do us more harm than good!

So say no to chlorine. Let’s demand further research confirming the best option. Seriously, we should have a “for and against debate”; and failing government doing a “no-show”, perhaps it’s better to just organise a protest march like our patriotic anti-purse seine protest marching heroes did. It may be the only real option left to demonstrate to government our dismay with this poison chlorine. So ... what say you?
