The Te Maeva Nui celebration will bring to Melbourne various Cook Islands cultural groups from the 15,000 population of Cook Islanders resident in Australia.
Puna is in Australia for bilateral high level and senior officials interactions between the Cook Islands and Australian governments. The engagements held this weekend involved visits to Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne.
He met Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison followed by visits to Sydney Opera House, New South Wales Parliament, and University of Sydney Waste Management Research Hub.
He also met with the Cook Islands New South Wales diaspora and tourism and chamber meetings.
