Fashion a hit with Tropicana audience

The Miss Cook Islands Association event Project Runway Tropicana was a huge hit with the audience at The Islander on Thursday of last week.

Thirteen fashion designers including nine clothing labels Heihere, Inangaro, IneMoana, TeWaka Arts, Tauariki Wear, Lula Soul, Peter Henry, Hinerava and Pacific Island Art along with four jewellery design labels Island Diva, Maya-X, Te Ara Nui Gallery and Moana Gems showcased their Collections on the night. 

DJ Apii kept the place alive with a fun mix of Tropicana sounds as each Miss Cook Islands contestant modelled vibrant, unique fashion showing a strong Pacifica influence. 

Miss Cook Islands Association extend their appreciation to principle sponsors Bluesky, Motor Centre, CITC, Pacific Resort, The Islander and Ministry of Culture.

The first competition of the Miss Cook Islands 2018 pageant will be held this Saturday 8th September 2018 at the National Auditorium - Swimwear, Pareu, Talent, Rakei Wearable Art.
