Teachers and students came to school dressed in their favourite book characters in a day designed to promote literacy and reading.
The school certainly wasn’t lacking in colour, with every student and teacher in full costume during their parade, which was followed by fun literacy activities.
Organisers said the effort put into creating costumes was outstanding, with characters including the inevitable superheroes, giraffes, crayons, Minnie Mouse and the famous Moana.
Teacher Chanel Prasad said that literacy week is well recognised at the school annually, and the students and teachers always go above the expectation for costumes.
“The students displayed creativity and confidence when they showed up in their favourite book characters,” he said.
