Tereora College have announced their student leaders for 2018.


At a ceremony held yesterday, the 24 new leaders were presented to their fellow students, staff and families who attended.
Principal Tania Morgan told the incoming student leaders they should feel pride at their achievement, and to “stand proud and stand with integrity at being named the leaders of the national college of the Cook Islands”.
O’-hiva Williams and Kavika Nicholas were named Head Girl and Head Boy respectively, and both were looking to lead the school by example.
“I really want to be the best head boy I can be and also bring the best out of everyone at school,” Nicholas said.
Williams echoed his sentiments and said, “we need to make sure we are all working as one, all on the same journey, one vaka, one school.”
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Henry Puna as well the Ministry of Education’s newsecretary Danielle Cochrane.

Tereora College student council members are: Pai-O-Te Evangelia Solomona, Marlina Nicholas, Adoni Wichman-Rairoa, Caroline Metua, Nay Chi Myo Min, Kiana Puna, Teremona Fukofuka, Terangi Ahsin Taio.
Anau Leaders: Shkinah Willie, Here Charlie, Garrirose Koteka, Angela Whyte, Noeline Kairua, Vaeruarangi Papera, Ambushia Mateariki, Poetiare Ruhe-Apolo, Teraimateata Teataiariki, Willyn Karika Hagi, Terina Aberahama, Pauliasi Vaomotou, Moeroa Harmon, Lynn Mataora.
