The Cook Islands Tertiary Training Institute’s much talked-about restaurant, Kai Reka, is once again open for another round of scrumptious food and dazzling service.

Run by the school’s food and beverage service and culinary arts students, diners are treated to a three-course meal for $30, consisting of an entree, main, and a dessert.
For the current season, the students have prepared a number of signature cocktails, and on the menu, classics such as Beef Bourguignon have been added to compliment a number of eclectic, island inspired dishes.
Earlier this week, Bryce and Marilyn Lott from Taiharuru, New Zealand, dropped in for lunch, and were dazzled with their meal – so much so, they made reservations for next week.
“If this is what the trainees are putting out, I’d like to see what they’ll do when they’re fully trained,” said Marilyn, who visits the Cook Islands with partner Bryce every year to enjoy a month in the sunshine.
Kai Reka is open today for lunch from 12pm to 1pm, and continues its midday service next week from Tuesday October 7 to Thursday October 9.
A special dinner service will be held on Monday October 6.
