Bank of South Pacific (BSP) Cook Islands has a new member on its leadership team.

Chris Doran will lead the bank’s Business and Consumer Banking teams.

BSP Country Manager David Street said he was excited about the appointment and described it as testament to BSP’s commitment to the Cook Islands and its continued investment to assist local communities to prosper and grow into the future.

“Chris genuinely enjoys building close relationships with his clients and colleagues and is looking forward to the challenge of leading the business and consumer banking team into an exciting future,” Street said.  A third generation banker, Doran is optimistic about maintaining the bank’s high level of customer service and ensuring the needs of high value corporate and commercial clients are met. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, with majors in management and marketing.

“Having worked with a top tier bank for over 10 years, he specialises in all facets of business and commercial banking as well as relationship management and development,” Street said.

Doran is moving to Rarotonga from the Gold Coast, Australia, with his wife Miranda and four-monthold son Elliot. Born in Bundaberg, Queensland, Doran is a third generation banker and lived in several locations around Queensland as a youngster. He has called the Gold Coast home for the past 21 years and is excited at the opportunity to live and work in the Cook Islands.

Outside of banking, he is keen on spending his leisure time exploring the islands and getting acquainted with Rarotonga.

And like most Queenslanders, he is a passionate rugby league fan and Broncos supporter.
