Easter is here in a few days and chocolate goodies in the major food outlets in town are proving popular with sales improving as the long weekend break nears.

CITC’s Foodland retail manager Louisa Poila says the big sellers in the store are the M&M mini eggs - that have just about sold out, the pineapple lump Easter box, the Oreo egg box and the good old fashioned popular egg shaped marshmallow eggs covered in chocolate.

The new lines of Easter egg the company brought in last month are: Maltese, salted caramel chocolates, M&M mini eggs, specialised egg crisps and the Oreo egg boxes.

“Once we sell out, that’s it, get in before the long weekend and purchase your Easter treats,” says Poila.

“On behalf of the staff I’d like to wish everyone a safe and wonderful Easter with their families.”

For those of you who will need extra items on Monday, Foodland will open on April 22 from 8am to 1pm.

Meanwhile, at CITC’s Oasis 24-hour store in Nikao, the well known marshmallow Easter eggs are not as in demand as the shops in town, the Maltese and mini cream eggs are proving to be the more popular choice for customers.
