Rape inquiry continues

The police investigation into the brutal rape which allegedly took place in the early hours of Saturday last week, is still underway with no suspects yet arrested.

The motoring carnage continues on Rarotonga’s roads with five accidents –  including two involving drink driving – reported to the police over the last week.

A 56 year old man escaped imprisonment but was fined $900 when he appeared on two cannabis changes at the Cook Islands High Court on March 7.

Theft leads to conviction

TRAVEL Tuainekore Tei was convicted and ordered to appear court for sentencing in six months if called upon, when he appeared for sentencing in the Rarotonga High Court on a charge of theft on February 23.

Police are seeking help from the public to solve the rape complaint  they received over the weekend.
