The Cook Islands witnessed a beautiful moment on Saturday night, the moment a beautiful young Aitutakian princess was crowned Maine Kuki Airani 2015.

Felicia George, a teacher aid from Araura College, will be leading a new reign as Miss Cook Islands, taking over from Teuira Napa who has reigned since 2012. George was also crowned as the first ever Miss Aitutaki and will also represent the Cook Islands at Miss Pacific 2015, also to be held on Rarotonga in December. Congratulations also go to Tepareu Toka as Maine Tapairu and Tania Bishop as Maine Purotu, first and second runner ups respectively. It was a big all round win for Aitutaki, all three winners are from the southern island, and represented the Miss Cook Islands Pageant Association affiliate Miss Aitutaki Pageant Association. Look out for more photos from the historic night in tomorrow’s edition of CI News.
