Coming off the back of a successful start to the 2023 rugby league season with the recent clinic run by Cook Islands international Kiana Takairangi and her team from Australia, the national rugby league association has decided to get the ball rolling with the junior development level this weekend.
association will host an age group programme in under-6, U8, U10 and U12 at the
Aretere Park in Avatiu from 9am to 12pm.
registration will start at 8.30am.
Islands Rugby League’s Francis Toa said: “What we will need is all our junior
coaches past and present to help with the skills and drills on the day.”
Benioni and association president Charles Carlson will be coordinating the
programme and will work with junior coaches and/or volunteers.
