The Cook Islands Triathlon Association is excited about the Uncle Tom’s & PTS Adventure Triathlon event this Saturday.
Triathlon president Roland Neururer said: “What will
be a hugely fun and exciting afternoon, more dramatic this week because of the
heavy rainfall which will have made the mountain bike trail very boggy.

The event is an adventure race which breaks away from
the usual triathlon disciplines, and sees the athletes battling a 1.2 kilometre
Stand Up Paddle Board Course, a 18km Mountain Bike Ride which crosses some of
our inland areas, the bush and the water intakes, also there is a break in the
mountain bike ride, and competitors need to run a 1.8km hill section and then a
2km road run to finish.
