Cook Islands Touch Association commences their season today at the BCI National stadium with the open men and women's category.

Games kick off at 5pm with the men. Teams to look for will be team GAT led by Puna Hiro, team KAPs led by Pozo Ngaroi, Nukz Power led by Vernon Horn, Atiu Warriors led by Vou Williams and team Germinators led by Andy Kapi.

In the women's category, Nukz Power will be led by Rima Browne, FBI led by Kura Moekaa and Hinnah Tatuava, team Nikz led by the Poaru sisters, Maeva and Mele, and team Bounty Hunters led by Lora Tauira. Both categories will play out two rounds to confirm top four placings to nut it out in playoffs and then finals.

Association president Julz Westrupp said: “It looks to be a good season especially with Pacific Games happening this year. Players will want to shine to be selected and trial for the games.”

CITA would like to thank BCI and Vodafone for continuously supporting touch rugby “as 2023 looks to be a good year for touch fans”.

“See you at the stadium at 5pm with the men starting and then the women play at 5.30pm and men again at 6pm.”

The 7m line will be a blast!
