Matavera faces Nikao on home turf today

Today the football mayhem starts as Matavera FC will be welcoming Nikao Sokattak FC to their home grounds for their first face off, while Puaikura FC host Avatiu FC to a severe lot of fixtures.

The Matavera side, who have been preparing for this football season for weeks now, hold a strong suit of teams who will test their opponents’ skills and mindset, while Sokattak are always ready to face anything and anyone that comes in between them and the goal.

These two will be wanting that sweet victory today for all teams, but it comes down to who wants it more.

Puaikura and Avatiu are both filled with experienced and fresh talented footballers, and will definitely give each other a good chase to success.

Puaikura are sure to be greedy with the ball today, as winning on their soil is a big NO for the passionate side. But as seen last year, Avatiu has dished out a few shockers in their fixtures and will be eager to sneak their way through to the back of the net.

The BSP U15 Boys will be the curtain drawers for both games today; at 11:15am they will kick through the starting ball, then the Tower Insurance Premier Mens match, played at 4:15pm will finish off the first week of the 2022 Rarotonga Football Season.
