Final fight for Championships

Tupapa Maraerenga FC will host Nikao Sokattak in the final round of the Rarotonga Football season at CIFA Complex this afternoon.

Last year Tupapa Maraerenga were stripped of their back-to-back Round Cup Champions title in their final battle against Nikao Sokattak.

This afternoon the Men in Black will be looking to take back the trophy from Sokattak’s tight grip.

Nikao Sokattak’s Steven Willis and Tamaiva Mateariki will be a vigorous lot as they aim to keep the likes of Marcus Gibbens and Daniel Taokia away from the goal, because a chance given to these two can prove costly for Nikao.

Tupapa’s Paavo Mustonen and Grover Harmon will guide the midfield and look to create a lot of opportunity inside Nikao’s half, as the typical one two passing won’t be enough to dominate today’s match. The veteran duo will have to get creative if they want to get the win.

On the other side, Nikao Sokattak’s Marc Leito and Toru Mateariki will be leading the charge, hoping to get goals for their side. They will be hoping to use their speed and skills to penetrate through Tupapa wall in this highly anticipated clash.

These two teams will put everything on the pitch today, because it all comes down to who wants it more. While Nikao Sokattak hold a tight grip onto last year’s title, Tupapa Maraerenga have shown hunger and zeal to reclaim the trophy.

The match will kick off at 4.15pm.

In the other match, Puaikura will host Titikaveka in the bottom of the table clash.
