The Cook Islands Football Association (CIFA) Junior Primary School tournament is set to kick off tomorrow, Wednesday, at 8:45am at the CIFA complex in Matavera.

The one-day football event for juniors in grades 4, 5 and 6 will see nine primary schools in Rarotonga gather to play fun football and for top honours.

Children in Grade 5 and 6 will be placed in B Boys, B Girls and B Mix divisions while students in Grade 4 will be placed in the C Mix division.

Schools vying for top honours are Papaaroa, Te Uki Ou, Avarua, Takitumu, Imanuela Akatemia, St Joseph, Rutaki, Arorangi and Nikao.

Some of these students feature for their respective clubs in Rarotonga and

will look to play against their peers tomorrow.

The Primary School Soccer Tournament has been running for many years now and proves to be popular amongst the children who look forward to this event.

There will be a stall with cold drinks and food available on the day for everyone.

To all our parents and supporters, come with your hat and sunscreen and expect a fun filled day of football.
