Bus crashes with eight on board
A bus carrying Rarotonga International Airport bound passengers crashed into a tree sending the bus on to it side. POLICE MEDIA

A bus carrying seven passengers has crashed on to its side on Rarotonga in what authorities described as a “narrow escape”.

Seven passengers including three children and four adults were on board with two people taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

One the passengers taken to hospital, a man, was reported to have cuts to his hands as the bus was travelling from the western side of the island, bound for Rarotonga International Airport.

The incident was reported about 1.30pm.
