A New Zealand mother and daughter will be in Rarotonga this week donating books to Apii Nikao, Apii Avarua and Apii Te Uki Ou.

Ana Meredith of Meredith Books Limited in Christchurch, New Zealand says they will be in the country to do readings at some primary schools and donate their new children’s book “My Brain is Magic” for the school libraries.

The book is said to be an interactive illustrated children’s book to promote confidence, gratitude, wellbeing, mind-set awareness, kindness and individuality.

The reviews also state that: “The book is just gorgeous and I know mindfulness and positivity is something a lot of parents are seeking for their children these days, my books around these sell like hotcakes and I think it is really important.”

Meredith said their mission is to create a sparkle of positive little minds who grow up to believe in themselves and in their dreams.

“As a working mother of three children, I needed to find a special moment in the busy day to create meaningful conversations on mind-set with my children (1, 4 and 6 years old),” she said.

“Mindset and its true potential is a huge passion of mine, having thoroughly studied it on my own accord over the last three years.”

Meredith said she is a huge believer in utilising one’s mindset to achieve outcomes.

“I want more than anything for my children to have this advantage of understanding and knowing the power of one’s mindset. Equally, I love knowing our special book can help children around the world grow up to believe in themselves and their dreams.”

She says it is all about giving our precious loved ones the best possible start to living a positive life, accomplishing one’s dreams.

Meredith said they launched a new book in April and it was her goal five years ago to be in the position “to give back to your wonderful community” after their first experience in Rarotonga.

“I am so happy to be on this mission to accomplish exactly that dream I had five years ago.”

Meredith said the book teaches children the foundation of keeping a healthy mind and a healthy body. It covers eating good foods, exercising, learning new things, love, sleep, having a positive mind-set and a “can do” attitude, persistence, being kind and grateful.

“It is also an accessible, affordable and highly engaging tool for caregivers to teach their children about mindfulness in a fun and encouraging manner.”

A wishing stone gift is also included with the books and Meredith said: “The chosen ‘Rose Quartz’ stone is said to improve sleep quality, ease anxiety and attract positive vibes.”
