Four new members were sworn in at the Koutu Nui 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday morning at Palmerston House.
the two-day meeting which concluded yesterday, the members were to discuss the
new Immigration Regulations, the Investment Code (foreign investment) in areas
reserved for Cook Islanders, UNESCO World Heritage, Kopapa Reo Maori – Maori
Language Committee update and other pertaining issues.
Koutu Nui is a traditional organisation consisting of the Aronga Mana
(traditional leaders) of the Cook Islands. It was established by an amendment
in 1972 of the 1966 House of Ariki Act.
