Weekend crash report
POLICE MEDIA 23050104

Police responded to three motor vehicle crashes over the weekend.

Police media spokesman Trevor Pitt said while no arrests were made in relation to drunk driving, one person was subjected to a blood analysis as a result of a crash.

Two crashes were reported on Sunday night - one involved a car on the back road at Vaimaanga, while the other occurred on the back road of Ruatonga.

Pitt said a blood specimen was sought from a 40-year-old motorcyclist, who sustained a leg injury.

He said two motorbikes were involved in one incident at Inave on Friday night. Two people on a motorcycle were taken to hospital while the second motorcyclist, a 16-year-old, was processed by Police.

During the weekend, Police responded to excessive noise complaints, around four dogs attacking goats, and domestic disturbances, one of which resulted in the arrest of a man on a charge of wilful damage.

For the dog attacks at Tereora, Pitt said action will be taken soon against the offending dogs.
