At the Criminal Court in Avarua yesterday, Justice of the Peace John Whitta presided over some court matters.

Shanoon Flowerday, charged for excess breath alcohol, has had his passport handed to the court by Police Prosecutor Senior Sergeant Fairoa Tararo.

Represented by defence counsel Lavi Rokoika, Flowerday’s case has been adjourned to July 20.

Rokoika requested for another week's adjournment to sort reparation matters, this was not objected by the prosecutor.

Mackenzie Sakai, represented by Rokoika also applied for a partial licence and this was granted.

He is allowed to drive from Monday to Friday between 7am – 5pm.

Tere Akava, charged with excess breath alcohol, had his matter adjourned to July 24 for a call over. He is represented by lawyer Norman George.
