Grassroots to play knock outs

After fifteen weeks of exhilarating round cup football action, we are finally entering the next stage in this year’s 2021 Rarotonga Football Competition, and to open-up the first week of the 2021 CIFA Knock Out Cup, will be none other than our Grassroots, who will play at 4.15pm this afternoon at the CIFA Complex.

The Under 8 Mix will start off their matches on Field 1 and will be featuring Avatiu FC vs Matavera FC and Titikaveka FC vs Puaikura FC, who will be eager to battle it out till the end.

A loss today isn’t something any team wants if they want to move on to the next step in grabbing the Knock Out Cup.   

The hard hearted U10 Mix will be focused to win their matches today with Nikao Sokattak FC going head to head with Titikaveka FC while Puaikura FC will play Matavera FC.

This division is definitely a lot to keep on watch, as these young ones are packed with talent in all teams, and are sure to come out to CIFA will a victory on their minds.

CIFA’s bottom Field 2 will hold the U12 Mix ballers, where Titikaveka FC will take on Matavera and Puaikura FC will face Tupapa Maraerenga.

Today’s matches are crucial to win for the U12 teams, so there is without a doubt, that if you’re on their side, you’ll be in for a treat.

The U6 Mix together with the winners and runner-ups of the U8 mix, U10 mix and U12 mix will go straight to the semis next week and will all be eager to see who they will face after today’s matches.

So, make sure to come out to CIFA Complex today, to see our grassroots in action for what are definitely going to be unforgettable matches.

In the event there is a draw at full-time a penalty shoot-out will take place to determine the winner.
