This weekend’s Edgewater Saturday morning women’s cricket league sees another women’s double-header in the lead-up to the men’s matches in the afternoon.

With all women’s teams proving so closely matched in ability and enthusiasm, the extended Edgewater Saturday morning league is proving a fantastic watch for all spectators.

Muri, who have won two matches from two games, occupy the top of the table and host the Matavera Young Guns side, which are in close pursuit of Muri and are sitting in second place.

Turangi, who sit just behind Matavera, occupy third place on net run rate will travel to Raemaru Park to take on last placed Arorangi.

Arorangi, who have played one match less than the rest of the competition, will be searching for the form that saw them take out the earlier Edgewater Women’s Saturday competition to lift them back to the top of the table with an extra game in hand.
