Cook Islands women rugby players begin their preparation for the New Caledonia Pacific Games with a first up training session this evening at the BCI Stadium in Nikao.

Women’s rugby sevens is on the list of compulsory sports to be contested at the games and local women’s rugby organisers are calling all female rugby sevens players to come and register your interest to be part of the squad and to start training.

The following players are asked to meet at the BCI Stadium at 5pm with your rugby boots and runners – Julieanne Westrupp, Edith Nicholas, Awhitia Pepe, Jamie Gotty, Vanya Foster, Tai Wichman, Apii Nicholls, Patricia Taea, Tarome Urirau, Mareta Angene, Marae Mataroa, Dorothy Kiria, Vanea Robati, Mona Aukino, Barbara Teiti, Brooke Buloulevu, Sophie Tangaroa, Jean Nicholls, Nooroa Apera and Margaret Teiti.
