Due to huge demand, the newly revived Cook Islands Volleyball Association has organised a one-day mixed six volleyball tournament this Monday.

The tournament will spike into action at 9am and will run all day at the Telecom Sports Arena.

The association this week announced its direction for the 2010 volleyball year which was to start with the Vonnia’s Corporate mixed 6 volleyball league.

And due to the overwhelming enthusiasm by volleyball lovers on the island – the one-day tournament this Monday was born.

Teams must be made up of three men and three women.

Entry fee for this tournament is $60 and CIVA has secured the support of some local businesses who have come to the party to put up the first prize of $500 cash.

The tournament is limited to 8 teams – so get in quick with your entry payments to secure your spot.
