The Vikings and Rama touch rugby men’s teams had the best day on the field on Monday night when both hit double figure scores.

The Vikings faced the Roxz prison team and despite their best efforts the Roxz just couldn’t stop the rampaging Vikings who easily won the match 13-2.

But credit to the Roxz who scored two tries against the hotshot Vikings.

The Rama boys from the north also had a cracking match dealing a 12-3 thrashing to the Avatiu League Boys.

Closer game was seen between the Oda Rebels and the Warriors with the Oda Rebels having an edge in the fitness stake to win the match 5 tries to 3.

In the women’s competition – low scoring games were seen thanks to slick defence by six teams.

The Devil Slayers are still looking for their winning form but weren’t given a chance this week by the TSL Rookies who outclassed the netballers 4-2.

The northern group Rama women’s team also did well to stay on the FBI team’s tail but lacked the cohesion to edge out FBI. FBI took the win 5-3.

The top woman’s team the Vixens went down to the fast improving Bounty Hunters 3-2.

Today will see the mixed competition played out at the Avatiu field starting at 5.35pm.
