Womens football sponsor CIPS Image & Copy Centre owner Colin Burns was privileged to present the Tupapa senior womens team with their round cup trophy for the 2011 Rarotonga Football Round Cup Competition yesterday afternoon.

Tupapa claimed the 2011 Rarotonga Football Round Cup ahead of Arorangi by three points after 13 games.

Players and coach Sandy Pomat assembled at the CIPS Image & Copy Centre office to receive their trophy from Burns.

Burns expressed his delight saying that he is most impressed with the Tupapa senior womens team for their achievement this year.

We are proud to sponsor this sporting activity this year. We are delighted and proud at the performances from not only this years winner, Tupapa but from all the clubs here on Rarotonga and we hope to do the same next season, Burns said.

Pomat conveyed his congratulations to the players and gratitude to Burns for sponsoring the womens football competition.

I am extremely proud of these young ladies of their success and it is my hope that they continue to develop themselves in football so the younger players will see their achievements, Pomat said.

I would also like to thank CIPS Image & Copy Centre for the sponsorship of the womens round cup trophy and to see them again supporting womens football next season, he says.

Todays under 17 mens knockout semi-final games will take place at the CIFA complex in Matavera with round cup winners Nikao Sokattak taking on Avatiu in the first game of the day while Tupapa go head to head with Matavera.
