Rain did not deter the hungry Tupapa side who scored in the first five minutes of the main match of the Lotto Premier Men’s Round Cup competition against Takuvaine last Saturday.

Tupapa controlled the game from the first whistle and dominated ball possession and was rewarded with five unanswered first half goals. Takuvaine found the wet and muddy playing pitch difficult to pass the ball through the Tupapa defense.

In the second half Tupapa went on and scored four more unanswered goals to bring the final score to nine goals to nil. All in all it was a match played in wet and gusty conditions which was controlled by one team.

In the other Premier Men’s match Avatiu drew two all with Matavera while Titikaveka held Arorangi to a one all draw through a penalty in the dying minutes of the game.
