Sharks game up in the air

Thursday 11 February 2010 | Published in Regional

The Tupapa-Maraerenga Panthers premier team are still expecting to travel to Aitutaki for their round two rugby league match against the Aitutaki Sharks scheduled for Friday afternoon.

The club was still waiting for word from the Sharks club as it was all hands on deck on the island after it sustained wide spread damage following tropical cyclone Pat which struck the island on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

However if the Sharks give the green light for the match to go ahead, this will be played on Aitutaki at 5pm.

Meanwhile the Bulldogs are scheduled to host the Ngatangiia-Matavera Sea Eagles today in the under 19 and reserve grades.

The under 16 and premier grade from both clubs will take to the field on Friday afternoon.

On Saturday, the Arorangi Bears will host the Avatiu Eels at Raemaru Park.
