The Cook Islands national netball squad players from New Zealand arrived in the country yesterday afternoon for the Pacific Series netball tournament starting on June 3.

The Pacific Series between the Cooks, Fiji, Samoa and Papua New Guinea is the qualifier for the netball world cup in Singapore next year.

Three days of netball games will be played at the Telecom Sports Arena with two games every afternoon on June 3 to June 5.

Team Fiji will arrive tomorrow after generous supporters forked out $30,000 to fund the team’s trip to Rarotonga.

Team Papua New Guinea will arrive on June 1 followed by team Samoa on June 2.

Tickets for the Pacific Series will be on sale today at the Telecom Sports Arena during the club netball competitions.
