Late charge by Muri

The Muri women’s cricket team has made a late charge in this season’s extended Edgewater Saturday morning league.

Bowling first against Arorangi Punanga Kaveao was in fine form leading her team with a superb captains effort taking 2 wickets for 0 runs to have Arorangi all out for 28 runs.

Not surprisingly Muri were able to chase down the total with relative ease in the forth over and collect two wins from two to take them top. Bene Matapo’s dominating display of batting excellence continued for her Matavera side as they took on Turangi.

However, an equally impressive display from Turangi especially through Ina Willie (33 not out) saw them chase down the total in a one wicket win.
