High excitement at 5-a-side footy

Monday 5 March 2012 | Published in Regional

Supporters have been treated to some competitive and exciting football games at the five-a-side soccer round cup competition as it heads into round four.

Today’s clash in the men’s division will see Virgin Ave battle against an assertive White Puta side who defeated a fired up Outlaws side last Thursday.

Nek Minit will take on Black Puta on field three while Steelers play Vaima Jets and Avatiu will go head to head with Outlaws.

In the women’s division Lolo-Berries will play Roxy Girls and Avatiu take on Victoria’s Secret.

An exciting and physical match between White Puta and Outlaws was played last Thursday as White Puta dampened the confidence of the Outlaws side by four goals to one.

Outlaws got straight into it by scoring early in the first half, however it was short lived as White Puta’s Campbell Best hammered through two goals for his team while another two goals sealed the deal at the final whistle.

Other winners on the day were Che-Bo who won by four goals to two against Vaima Jets and Virgin Ave defeated Steelers by two goals to one while Avatiu beat Nek Minit by three goals to nil.

In the women’s division Lolo-Berries beat Black Qwenz by one goal to nil and Avatiu won by one goal to nil over Roxy Girls.
