If you haven’t really decided what to do with your kids this week, there are a number of kid’s sporting events on over the next two weeks of the school holiday.

Today the Cook Islands Cricket, Avarua Bakery and 88FM cricket school holiday programme starts at 9am at the Matavera field.

The day will be filled with non-stop cricket fun for all.

The programme will run to 3pm for kids over 5-years-old.

The cricket programme will continue at Matavera on Tuesday and move to the Nikao field on Thursday and Friday.

The same programme will also run in the second week of the school holidays.

At the Nikao tennis centre, coach Malcolm Kajer will be conducting tennis lessons for kids under 16.

Kajer will be running two lessons a day starting at 9am with the little kids programme for children aged 5 to 7.

From 10am to 1pm – lessons will be available for kids aged between 10 and 16.

Meanwhile, the Kids Triathlon will be staged this Wednesday from the Papaaroa College beach in Titikaveka.

There will be two triathlon courses on offer.

The short 50m swim, 2km bike and 1km run is for kids aged between 4 and 8 while the longer course of a 100m swim, 4km and 1km run is for older kids aged between 9 and 15 years.

The triathlon is free to all but there will be a small fee for both the cricket programme and tennis lessons.
