Edgewater muscles up!

Wednesday 1 September 2010 | Published in Regional

The Edgewater is recovering from hosting some of the most muscle-bound people on the planet.

Contestants from more than 60 countries across Asia stayed at Edgewater to compete in the 4th International Asia Pacific Body Building & Fitness Championships.

Resort Operations Manager Maeva Henry said, “Although we had challenges we met all of them to make sure these premium athletes had what they needed to shine.

The event was an eye opener for many of those that ventured out to watch the pre-judging and final show in the evening.”

If that wasn’t enough, Warrior rugby league player and now professional boxer Monty Betham also stayed at the resort while he took part in the charity fundraising boxing event for Cook Islands Sports Academy to raise funds for the Cook Islands Commonwealth boxing team to compete in New Delhi.
