Cross country series starts
Get your runners on for the start of the cross country series on Thursday. 14050541

Don’t let the dust settle on your shoes the cross country running series is starting today.

There will be six races in the cross country series which is a build up to the Round Rarotonga Road Race week starting on July 15.

The cross country series will wrap up on June 24 with the national cross country national championships.

At the end of the cross country series, masters athletes will take a week break before heading to Tahiti for the Oceania Masters Athletics Championship to be held from July 3 and 10.

The masters athletes with their medals will return home in time for the road race series.

Today’s races will be a 3km course for women and youngsters and a 4km course for men.

The race starts at 5.15pm from the Takitumu School grounds rain or shine.
