The Cook Islands Football Association’s complex has been buzzing with excitement for the last three Saturday mornings as young and keen footballers flock there for the ‘Come and Play’ programme.

The programme is in its fourth week and has been attracting 150-plus children from the ages of five to 13.

The programme will run for a further three weeks until August 21. Now in its third year, the programme has proven popular every week with numbers continually increasing. Parents are also getting involved and having fun as well.

Come and Play is aimed at encouraging the young children to play football, pursue good health, physical activity and enjoyment of the sport.

Today’s session kicks off at 9am and finishes by 10.30am, and CIFA encourages parents whose little ones who have not yet experienced this fun event to come along and enjoy a game of football.
